罗马尼亚（罗马尼亚语：Romania）是一个位于欧洲东南部巴尔干半岛的国家。国境西方分别为匈牙利与塞尔维亚接壤，保加利亚在南方，北方与东北方则是乌克兰与摩尔多瓦共和国，首都为布加勒斯特。罗马尼亚的官方语言是罗马尼亚语，源自拉丁语。

罗马尼亚被称为“吸血鬼的故乡”。十九世纪末爱尔兰作家布拉姆·斯托克的小说《德古拉》掀起了世界各地对吸血鬼文化的热潮，也令罗马尼亚与神秘的吸血鬼文化联系了起来。吸血鬼伯爵德古拉的原型是十五世纪瓦拉几亚大公弗拉德三世·采佩什。他因为生性残忍，得了“嗜血”的恶名，常常对敌人、战俘、甚至犯事的百姓施以酷刑，相传他出生于罗马尼亚的锡吉什瓦拉城，并居住在离布拉索夫城30km外的布朗城堡，也叫德古拉城堡，或者“吸血鬼城堡”。
